Definition

A consumer substation with LV metering is an electrical installation connected to a utility supply network at a nominal voltage usually between 1 kV - 35 kV, and including generally a single MV/LV transformer not exceeding 1.250 kVA. The substation may be installed either in a dedicated room located in a building, or outdoor in a prefabricated housing.
