Banner-chapter Q.jpg

Certain special premises and locations are subject to particularly strict regulations, such as operating rooms or residential dwellings. The IEC 60364 part 7 (IEC 60364-7-7xx) defines specific requirements for a number of these locations, a list of these locations and standards is provided in this chapter. The specific requirements for bathrooms are also explained (IEC 60364-7-701).

For residential buildings, the installation rules are generally defined at country level (local standards and/or regulations), and can be different from country to country. This chapter aims therefore at providing an international overview of the typical rules and recommendations for residential buildings, based on some of these local standards or regulations.
